Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Daniel Spencer, Co-Founder of Saluz Health, located in Chiloquin,  OR, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are a health-producing company; we connect people to the healing power of nature. We achieve this by connecting people to nature's most nutrient-dense foods + compounds. We make health simple. The world of nutrition and supplements is very overwhelming.

Our customers consist of many categories. We have moms nourishing themselves and their families, especially those with ADHD, people diagnosed with chronic diseases, and people looking for nutritional support to help with brain fog, chronic fatigue, losing weight, skin health, detox, mood support, sleep, and recovery, as well as those looking for a performance edge.

Tell us about yourself

I have always been interested in health and what it means to be human. I have tried every diet and movement program and have been studying natural medicines for the past ten years. I live with the harvester of the algae. He has been harvesting it for 25 years! I also work very closely with our 25-year herbalist. Each part of the company has been created from a vision and mission. I get motivated by our customers. When I hear that our product them be better for their family and have the energy to do the stuff, they love to do. That is all I can ask for.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Securing our supply chain and having a product that supports people's health goals. I recently got back from a 10,000-mile natural medicine road trip. In that process, I met so many amazing people, and it was nice to tell them this is my company, not someone else's. From my road efforts, we are now working on scaling the company so we can handle the demand we have created.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Details, I am a creatively inspired person. So sitting down and doing the books or paying vendors is not my favorite thing. I would much rather be outgrowing our tribe.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Just Start! Don't worry about the details. Find your Purpose and make sure it has a positive impact will keep it going above any $ amount. If you are excited about it, then other people will be as well. Delegate when you can find the experts that have more experience and then learn from them. As opposed to figuring it out on your own.
