Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in business development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Anthony Marsilio, Founder of Salesurf Growth, located in Austin, TX, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
Hello! I run an Amazon agency. I help e-commerce brands sell more stuff on Amazon.
Tell us about yourself
I graduated college in 2019. I was always tinkering online, trying to figure out an internet business. I launched my first product on Amazon in 2020, still have that business to this day, and happened to stumble upon a services model this year that was game-changing.
What motivates me every day is threefold. The idea of a truly free life (financially, time/space-wise, etc.), paying my father back for raising me, and retiring my girlfriend. Checking off all three of these boxes is the mission complete in my eyes.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
The first dollar. "WOW, this could work!"
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Patience. I want things to happen immediately, and understanding that great things take time is a muscle I'm learning to work. It's a daily practice. Nothing of substance happens overnight, and as a young, ambitious individual, I find that practicing gratitude and recognizing the power of patience is critical.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Believe in yourself. Nobody's opinion matters except for yours.
- Start today. You'll thank yourself later.
- Test different things to figure out what works for you/your personality/your situation.
