What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a Reiki Master Teacher, Spiritual Consultant, and Metaphysical Teacher of 22 years. I offer meaningful gifts, candles, and oracle stones on my webshop and in person. I guide others to become the highest vibration, most authentic human beings they can be. Additionally, I work as an animal healer and communicator.
Tell us about yourself
I began studying the metaphysical arts in the early 1990s, after many years of feeling oddly different and having psychic experiences at the young age of five. I started with crystal acquisition, which led to card reading, energy healing, and training on how to holistically heal myself of a mild autoimmune condition. In the early 2000s, I began to offer spiritual consultations, Reiki healing & training sessions, and at the same time opened a small online store offering candles and crystals. I worked for about ten years in a small local crystal shop as well, offering readings and Reiki to the customer base there.
I love what I do; it is not a job, it is a way of life for me. This is what keeps me motivated, and I cannot imagine doing anything else. I continue to attend seminars, take courses, and improve my skills and offerings. Helping people help themselves, whether it is self-healing or spiritual growth, is my primary goal when I awaken each morning. Every moment of life is a gift!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Simply put, I consider my biggest accomplishment to be that I am able to do what I love as a vocation. I'm also quite proud to offer my own unique creations and have published three divination oracle sets that others may use to map their own spiritual paths.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
I'd say that the most difficult thing about my work is knowing when to shut down for the day! I can easily continue to work into the night but have recently had to slow down a bit due to mild burnout, but that didn't last long. I eat right, sleep plenty and take good care of my mental health, so I can continue to be of service to a world that is deeply troubled at this time in our evolution.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Educate yourself in your craft, assess your level of passion/drive and make sure that what you're doing is something you are willing to put your all into, and visualize yourself as already successful rather than that success being way off in the future somewhere. As Joe Dispenza says, 'Believe it, and then you will see it!'
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
I am grateful to my loved ones, teachers, and community. Without them, I could not do what I love. They are my guiding light! Including my pets!
