Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Allison Adams, CEO and Founder of Sacred Leadership Global, located in Denver, CO, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

As an international health and wellness coach, I teach female executives, entrepreneurs, and professionals how to lead from a place of vitality, radiance, and courage so they can create and enjoy the life they envision.

In early 2023 I'm launching a virtual community called SACRED. It's designed as a container for women to heal, learn, and practice ancient wisdom teachings and modern science such as yoga, meditation, sound healing, food as medicine cooking sessions, stress resilience training, and more.

Our global transformational wellness retreats at eco-luxury resort destinations are bespoke experiences to deepen and expand personal and collective well-being. Through spa treatments, local gastronomy, nature activities, yoga, and meditation, women will release, reconnect, and rediscover how to live, love, and lead well.

Tell us about yourself

It was my personal transformation that led me to do the work that I do. For decades, I experienced, witnessed, or cared for others who suffered from mental, emotional, and physical pain and diseases which left me feeling helpless.

It wasn't until I took ownership of my health and healing that I gained newfound strength, vitality, self-compassion, and peace of mind. As a mother of three, I could begin to see the positive ripple effects, and from that point on, I dove into multiple modality certifications. I wanted to be in a professional position to support others in transforming their health and their lives.

As of 2023, I am focusing solely on women leaders so they have a community they can feel safe to heal, practice, connect, and grow. When women make this commitment to elevating their consciousness, health, and well-being, it positively affects seven generations in the past and seven generations in the future. Embolden women can change the world, but they need tools, support, and community to activate and sustain them, and that's why I do what I do.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is not monetary or material; it is my capacity to navigate adversity, stress, and challenges with confidence, resilience, and grace.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

At the top of my list is making decisions about which business coach, course, or software as a service product is best suited for me and whether I need it now, depending on the stage and revenue of my business. Looking back, 70% of my investments never paid off, so my advice is to invest with caution, clarity, and compassion when things don't work out as planned.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Make your health and well-being a daily leadership priority.
  2. Be clear on the impact you want to make to fuel your journey and your legacy.
  3. Stay heart-centered (people, purpose, planet) to connect with your team, clients, customers, and the world.
