I'm a worship pastor by background, then turned HR Director. It was through my HR role in the church that ignited the passion in me to help other churches find great talent using best practices.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Helping churches in nearly 20 different states across America.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The daily unexpected turns (mostly people problems) that are necessary to address but can fight against growth and quality of service or can wear on you personally.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Learn the skill of delegation. If you don't, you will quickly become a bottleneck and will stifle growth.
- Grow your people skills and emotional intelligence.
- Know who you are and what exactly you are aiming for in your business. Without that, you will wander aimlessly.
