What's your business, and who are your customers?
I specialize in haircuts, styles, and special occasion hair. My ideal client shops at Nordstrom and Thrift shops. She cares about her appearance and likes to look pretty but effortless. She cares about the environment and wants to do what she can to be sustainable and help the future, and abs want to look like a boss babe while doing it. ❤️
Tell us about yourself
The big salon I worked In closed, and I had a three-month-old baby, and my husband was about to start his paternity leave, so it was the perfect time for me to dive into my career and make Something for myself. I know that I feel best in high heels, makeup, and a sexy outfit with my hair fresh with a great haircut and color, and I Love making people feel this way! Everyone deserves to feel and look pretty!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I would say my biggest accomplishment is that every client that sits in my chair gets all of my attention to detail and awareness no matter how I feel that day. I will zone in on you for your whole service. I truly care about everyone that sits in my chair, and I want them to feel better when they leave.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Definitely social media, technology, and keeping all my licensing and everything up to date. Thankfully I have an amazing bookkeeper and CPA, and one of my best friends is in Tech, so I have an amazing support team. I'm not sure I could do it without them! 🥰
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do it.
- Study business and finance like it's your job!
- Get a good team of people to turn to for the things you aren't as good at.
