Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Regina L. Henry, CEO of RLH global LLC, located in Glen Ridge, NJ, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

RLH global LLC exists to empower and equip high-achieving Working Parents to lead resiliently and authentically, both at work and home, so that they may create an impact without guilt, shame, or overwhelm.

Tell us about yourself

I am the founder, CEO, & Principal Life Architect of RLH global, which leads with a commitment to empowering and equipping every person I connect with to live with resilience and authenticity. Having spent most of my professional life in various educational roles and environments, I have committed to supporting a different "classroom" of high achievers, the Working Parent. My insightful perspective of life in this dynamic world yields a unique lens through which others may find what I classify as their Genius. I provide a roadmap by which the entrepreneur or 9-to-5-er may plot their path to unearth that Genius and reach their goals without parental guilt or shame. I apply my expertise in human & brain development, proven strategies, and proprietary frameworks to create practical solutions and frameworks for the professional parent to succeed at work and home.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner has been learning how to honor the unique pace of my business development. Too often, owners yield to the common anxiety that comes from trying to keep up with the ever-changing 'best practices' that don't always align with the business purpose and function.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner is the continuous need to grow as a leader. The growth of any entity is dependent upon the growth of its leadership. The owner needs trusted truth-tellers in his/her life to give honest feedback, encouragement, and accountability for healthy personal & professional development.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Know yourself (strengths, opportunities for growth, etc.).
  2. Bootstrap it for a while as you test your idea, market, etc.
  3. Keep advancing the ball, even when you're unsure of where it's going. Just focus on the next best step.
