What's your business, and who are your customers?

I offer communication expertise and DEI development, helping to amplify the needs of each company based on its goals through strategic communications. Any company looking to expand and/or build deeper connections within and with a community can benefit from my services. My current customers are BLK & Bold and Kum & Go.

Tell us about yourself

I believe in amplifying diverse voices and communities through establishing connectivity, building relationships, advisement, and storytelling. I left the News Industry to give my energy to the work that needs to be done in organizations to make spaces for diverse voices and create a deeper and necessary tie to the community. I'm motivated to be an answer in some way every day.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Helping another business successfully build deeper community connections.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

There are only 24 hours in a day.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Jump in, and don't wait for everything to be perfect - if it's in your heart, it's there for a reason.
  2. Lean in on your community/mentors; they can be great guidance and connections.
  3. Don't tell your idea to everyone. Sadly, not everyone will be rooting for you and can project their fear into something you believe in. Be courageous.
