Tell us all about your business...

DeliveryBizConnect.com is the "keep it local" and "keep it fair" restaurant online and mobile ordering platform built with owners and customers in mind. Offering restaurant owners free pickup orders and only 3.33% delivery fees, more money stays local, and restaurant customers save money. Same tech as the majors, but branded to your local restaurant. The 80% savings we generate; remain in the local economy.

What's your background and motivation to grow as a solopreneur?

When COVID started, we saw the pain created for restaurants by the major delivery apps and their high fees and how they controlled the restaurant's money. We also saw the devastation to local economies. Approximately 30% of all delivery orders and 10% of all pickup orders are spent on massive ad campaigns for the majors to compete for market share. We knew we could create a more friendly business model, helping keep the bulk of that 10% to 30% local and even keep promotional budgets local. We call it DeliveryBizConnect.com.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Helping our first 100 restaurants!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a solopreneur?

It's like having a cranky newborn baby, many sleepless nights!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Be prepared to work WAY more than 8 hours a day, seven days a week, for periods to ensure your company gets to the growth phase. Make sure you understand cash flow and have enough cash to get you through before making your first hire. Hire slowly, fire fast.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Think of it as an adventure. On an adventure, you would expect things to go wrong vs. become disappointed when they do... This mindset will be invaluable to getting you through the trying times.
