Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Regina Andler, Business Mindset Transformation Specialist of Autumn Ascent Consulting, located in Salem, NH, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is Autumn Ascent Consulting. I help women business owners move from overwhelmed to overjoyed in their business, guaranteed, using my proprietary From Chaos to Clients program.

As a Business Mindset Transformation Specialist with over 20 years as a small business owner, I help women business owners with the business aspects it takes to create a lifestyle business, including the most important factor in success - their mindset.

My client base is predominantly other women coaches and consultants who feel overwhelmed and frustrated with the running of their business and the search for clients. They understand that they need someone to help them move to the next level and are motivated and open-minded enough to make it happen.

Tell us about yourself

I spent over 30 years in the tech industry. From corporate programming to server management to owning multiple small computer repair companies, tech was my thing. I knew how to do it very well, and yet while working in the tech field is a lucrative place to be, something never felt quite right.

Over 15 years ago, I started my own personal journey, searching for answers. I hit up every personal development program I could find, every book I could get my hands on, and in the process came to understand that just because you know how to do something really well, that does not mean that it is what makes you happy.

In my search, I followed Jack Canfield (Chicken Soup for the Soul guy) and his Success Principles. In 2017, I became a Certified Success Principles trainer. I went on to learn more, and in 2019 I started a certification program in Wholebeing Positive Psychology which I completed in the spring of 2020. I found my calling and my purpose, which was to help other women, just like me, find themselves and their purpose and create the lifestyle business of their dreams. In 2020 I left the tech world for good and started Autumn Ascent Consulting. Best. Decision. Ever. Each and every day, I get to help others create what I have created.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My From Chaos to Clients program. I listened to what my clients needed and the results that they were looking for, and I took all of my lifetime of experience and knowledge and created a unique program that teaches my clients how to create a business that draws clients to them, creates a mindset for success and teaches them the importance of understanding the energy around everything they do.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Getting started. - Making that leap from working a "job" with regular income and benefits to starting a business can be really scary. The question is, WHY are you doing it? If your WHY is big enough, there is no obstacle too big holding you back from success.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Fully understand your purpose. What are your strengths, and how can you best use those strengths? Be clear about who you are and what you want. As an exercise, write out on paper what your ideal life looks like in as much detail as possible.
  2. Fully understand what your clients want. As harsh as it may sound - your clients do not care about you, how many degrees and certificates you have, or any of your fancy branding. All they care about is, "Can you provide me with the result I need?" Ask them what they want. Listen and then provide that for them using their words.
  3. Take care of yourself. After all, without you, there is no business. Working 20 hours a day to build your business is not needed, and it is certainly not good for you. Take time for yourself to keep your energy up and be able to show up as your best self in your business and personal life.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Everything begins and ends with your mindset. The words you think and say matter. Limiting beliefs could very well be holding you back, creating a glass ceiling that you cannot seem to break through. Believe me, when I say - it is all in your head. Change your thoughts, change your life.
