What's your business, and who are your customers?
Redefined LLC provides therapeutic and social support to individuals, families, and communities who are living at the intersections of single or multiple oppressions. By supporting people in our community. We aim to uncover the root of that oppression, & redefine their identities through positive, inclusive & expressive means. We want to help those that have been oppressed self-realize and self-actualize their lives on their own terms and be able to find their identity and purpose.
Tell us about yourself
I am a father, Mental Health Therapist, Speaker, Public Figure, Conversationalist, and best-selling author. I have had the privilege of using my diverse set of skills to help people with their mental health needs. As a public figure, I have been able to use my platform to advocate for those who feel voiceless in society or simply do not have the courage currently. I saw a need for better understanding and support when it came to mental health issues and redefining lives, and I wanted to do something about it. Therefore, I decided to become the author of several books on the subject. In addition, I have spoken at different events and conferences on how we can improve our mental health through conversations and therapy.
My mission is to show that everyone has the potential to be successful in life by taking care of their mental well-being first. I believe that every person deserves the opportunity to live a life emancipated from fear or judgment, and therefore, I continue my mission of partnering with those in need. Being motivated and driven is essential for achieving success in life. For me, there are three main things that keep me motivated: serving people, living my purpose, and being an example. Serving people is something that I am passionate about, and it gives me a sense of fulfillment when I help someone in need or make a positive difference in their lives.
Living my purpose helps to remind me of why I am doing what I am doing and keeps me focused on the end goal. Being an example encourages me to strive for excellence in whatever I do so that others can learn from my actions and be inspired by them. These three things are what keep me motivated and help to redefine my life every day.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
As a business owner, my greatest accomplishment has been my ability to reach people that would not normally desire mental health services. Having Relevant Conversations to Redefine Lives in a Radical Way. I have built a successful therapeutic movement that has allowed me to help many individuals, families, and communities in need by tailoring a mental health strategic plan that is tailored for each specific individual, family, organization, etc. Allowing our efforts in the partnership to be very successful and gratifying. Through various partnerships, I have been able to increase the visibility of mental health services and make them more accessible to those who may not be able to afford them otherwise. My trajectory as a business owner has enabled me to make a positive impact on the lives of many people, and I am proud of this accomplishment.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Being a business owner is no easy feat, and it requires a great deal of self-discipline and hard work. One of the most challenging aspects of being a business owner is having to be self-driven. As the leader and wealth walker, I have learned that I must stay motivated and resolute on in my aspirations even when things get strenuous.
Another difficulty that I faced was maintaining a healthy ecosystem (the inner circle). It's important that I am surrounded by people who will support me and challenge me, but it can be difficult to find the right balance between too much criticism and too much praise.
Finally, it's important for me to understand that not everyone will hold me up in my journey. There will be times when people don't believe in me or my products, but it has been important to remember that success comes from within and not from external validation.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Starting a business today is certainly not easy. With so much competition and ever-changing technology, it's important to have the right tools and strategies in place to ensure success. Here are my top 3 tips for anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today:
- Know who you are - Before you can successfully launch your business, you need to understand who you are as an entrepreneur. Ask yourself questions such as "what is my unique value proposition?" "What sets me apart from other businesses?" By understanding your strengths and weaknesses, you can create a plan for success that is tailored specifically for you.
- Be your own voice - When it comes to marketing your business, it's important to be authentic and true to yourself. Don't try to copy what everyone else is doing or try too hard to fit into someone else's idea of success. Speak from the heart and tell your story in a way that
- Remain focused – Being aware of what matters most: client satisfaction and growth. Make sure that all your efforts are geared toward creating value for clients so that they will remain loyal over time. With these tips in mind, anyone can start their own successful business today!
