What's your business, and who are your customers?

RAWVOLUTION is a Los Angeles-based company that provides fully-prepared plant-based meals and ships them to clients nationwide. Our meals are made with the finest and highest quality organic, living foods ingredients and arrive fresh overnight. Our customers are discerning eaters that want the benefits that raw food nutrition provides without the work of shopping, chopping, and cleaning up.

I'm motivated each day by knowing we provide a truly one-of-a-kind service and that we can provide something no one else can.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My greatest accomplishment is the longevity of RAWVOLUTION. We've been operating consistently and successfully since 2001.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner is the fact that it requires you to wear nearly all of the hats and do all of the jobs, at least some of the time, regardless of whether or not they strictly match your strengths.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Only start a business if you:

  1. Truly believe in your product or service. Building a successful business is a lot of work, and you'll only be motivated to continue if you're passionate about your offerings.
  2. Can add something to the marketplace that will make the world a better, more positive place.
  3. Plan to engage in business in a way that is environmentally conscious and ecologically sustainable.
