What's your business, and who are your customers?
Rad Cleaning Solutions is Montgomery County, Pennsylvania's number one exterior cleaning company. We are experts in pressure washing, deck staining and repair, and general home improvement. Our clients include both residential and commercial property owners.
Tell us about yourself
After nearly 20 years of driving a truck, I couldn't stand working 12 hours a day to make someone else rich for another day. I'd been doing odd jobs for friends for years before deciding to take the plunge and pursue my dream.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
This is a difficult one. There's a lot to be proud of, but I think my favorite thing is our 5-star rating on Google, Facebook, and Yelp. After all of the long hours and stress of running a business, reading a positive review makes it all worthwhile.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The hardest thing for me is work/life balance. Owning a business is a 24/7 job, but set boundaries and do not forget to give yourself a break.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Don't give up! You're going to have tough times, but keep moving forward.
- Don't be afraid to ask for help. I've learned the hard way that you can't do everything yourself.
- Network, you never know who you're talking to.
