What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am an Executive Coach, Consultant by nature, and experienced Facilitator, passionate about ensuring people working in corporate settings have an uplifting, gratifying, and authentic experience. My emphasis on organization effectiveness through active research culminates in developing & delivering energizing people engagement programs.

Tell us about yourself

I am intensely passionate about "leading from where you sit" and the change that individuals can have within the organizations. I ground my days in two quotes: "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel" - Maya Angelou and "Be the change you want to see..." - Gandhi. When I left my high-pressure corporate job, I did some soul searching. I asked myself how I could best harness my passion for developing leaders and vast transferable skills. My answer is to serve organizations and leaders to find their way of putting people first. With my ability to diagnose organizational barriers & inefficiencies, bring those insights into actionable plans, and my strong process improvement, project, and change management skills, I can positively impact organizations through the consulting model.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

The first client is always the most memorable success! Landing that first coaching client and seeing the impact our time together had both on her personally, challenging her beliefs and stories she was telling herself, but also the impact her newfound leadership voice had on those around her and the way the physician's office communicated and build new ways of working together out of their silos more effectively.

Another accomplishment I am very proud of is in the fall of 2022; I will be offering for the 7th time my signature group coaching program, "Finding Your Leadership Voice."

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Having always to be doing business development and not allowing that to feel "salesy" has a negative connotation. I want to connect with people and help them. There are ebbs and flows of revenue with working for oneself, and I am still finding my way with that.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Set a goal (or 3, but not more).
  2. Start... Take a step. Don't let fear or analysis paralysis take over.
    You will need to try things out of your comfort zone.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Progress over perfection. I look at everything I do as an experiment. Some will work. Some won't. And that is part of the process. The process of life and the journey I am on.
