Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Alex Genadinik, CEO of Problemio, located in Hoboken, NJ, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business has courses, books, and coaching to help entrepreneurs and professionals.

Tell us about yourself

I started this business ten years ago. I had started a few other businesses before that, but since I had no help, I struggled, and my mistakes were expensive. So I created a mobile app that would help entrepreneurs. That app took off, and my business today is an outgrowth of that app. I mainly focus on selling books and courses today and have not been supporting the app, so it's mostly defunct.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Obviously, sustained revenue growth despite every challenge. But also the fact that I have touched the lives of millions of people for the better. I am also happy that I have been able to pursue hobbies while running my business. My music website is https://www.touchedbyasong.com.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Constant competition and, with that, constant reinventing of yourself and finding ways to make yourself better.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Get into it for the long term.
  2. Learn to manage and deal with stress.
  3. Stay consistent.
