What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are an educational academy for those interested in functional and integrative medicine. Our academy is the educational arm of the business to set up owner-operator (Provider) clients into a successful, sustainable medical practice. The DPC (direct primary care) practice avoids the insurance model and becomes very sustainable.
Tell us about yourself
After almost 20 years in Emergency Medicine, I witnessed the shortcomings of the mainstream medical (MSM) model and embarked on a journey back in 1998 to find a solution and a shift in paradigm to something much more sustainable and patient-friendly. It is also provider (MD, FNP, PA) friendly in that it avoids burnout, allows for proper work-life balance, and is both financially and professionally rewarding.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Seeing the success of others utilizing our model of healthcare. We are revolutionizing the healthcare industry one provider at a time.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Lots of hard work and some personal sacrifices. To make this successful, you will have to sacrifice some time with your spouse, family, and children.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Be persistent.
- Don't rush it, make sure you put out a good product and take time to enrich it and watch it grow.
- Don't put money first.
