What's your business, and who are your customers?
Premiere Social Media is a full-service nationwide Digital Marketing Agency located in Mesa, Arizona. We opened our doors at the beginning of 2014. Although we do all forms of online marketing, we specialize in social media management and training, as well as website and graphic design. We also have women's networking groups in Phoenix, Arizona, and the greater areas of the valley.
Tell us about yourself
I am Shyla Collier, the owner of Premiere Social Media. I have 16 years of experience in marketing and have a strong passion for helping other business owners succeed. I am a social media expert, Amazon Best-Selling Author, networking group founder, and marketing guru.
My first book is titled Social Media Key to Credibility. It offers an introduction to the top social media platforms. I am a contributing author in the Amazon best-selling book When You're Done Expecting, endorsed by the founder of the Make-a-Wish Foundation. My chapter and poem are about being a 24/7 single super mom business owner. I am also a contributing author of Redesign Your 9 to 5, where I share my business journey.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Becoming an author was a huge accomplishment. I had never thought about it until the opportunity was placed in front of me by my publisher. It caused my business to double overnight.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the biggest struggles I have is that I find it very hard to stop working. I am constantly working even when I am off, or we are closed. However, I love making my own schedule and being able to be flexible with my time, so it makes it all worth it.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- It is a very good idea to start by having a side business until it is lucrative enough to make it your full-time business.
- Shoot for the stars, and the options are endless when you put your mind to it.
- Get help with your marketing. You have to spend money to make money. We are here to help.
