What's your business, and who are your customers?

I help technology companies grow via strategic alliances and partnerships. Our primary audience is Chief Revenue Officers and sales leaders within Software as a Service (SaaS) companies.

Tell us about yourself

I have been building partner programs for various technology companies since 2000. In 2021, after being downsized by a tech start-up, I started offering my services on a fractional basis, serving multiple customers simultaneously. This model provided amazing variety in my work while allowing me to apply proven business strategies that are consistent across industries and geographies. Seeing my clients experience "lightbulb moments" when we explore new routes to market they had not previously considered is one of my favorite parts of my "job"!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

After years of evangelizing the benefits of partner strategy, I am at a point where I am getting unsolicited referrals to help companies in various industries, providing me with the opportunity to learn a wide range of technologies, from the supply chain to telehealth to sustainability risk platforms.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Having the courage to take the leap from employee to business owner. This was only made possible by having to build a deep network of trusted colleagues in the years leading up to this change.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Never stop building your network.
  2. Don't be afraid to be transparent and authentic --> ask for help when you need it.
  3. Surround yourself with positive people who want to see you succeed.
