What's your business, and who are your customers?

Pinned Golf is a Boston-based golf technology company that specializes in creating beautiful tech products without high price tags. Our customers are golfers all around the world who are looking to improve their game without breaking the bank.

Tell us about yourself

I am one of the three co-founders of Pinned Golf. In 2020 I quit my full-time corporate job to pursue growing and building Pinned full-time. I am motivated to do what I do every day because I am obsessed with growing Pinned. Starting something from 0 and growing it to a legitimate business is a very addicting feeling.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is starting something as a side hustle and growing it to the point where I could support myself in a full-time role.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Staying focused. There are so many distractions that appear on a daily basis that wouldn't appear in a corporate job, and being able to prioritize what needs to get done is huge.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Just start. Stop procrastinating and just do it.
  2. Hedge your bets. Sometimes, quitting a six-figure job to start a company with 0 sales isn't always the answer. Start it as a side hustle, gain traction, then go for it!
  3. Work hard all the time. There is no substitute for hard work; you just have to do it.
