Tell us about yourself
I migrated to the United States at 10 with my twelve siblings, plus mom and dad. There were fifteen of us living in a 2 bedroom 1 bath home less than 900 square feet. Yes, fifteen of us!! The Brady bunch had nothing on us except they spoke English. Early on, I was motivated by wanting to get out of poverty. Today I am motivated to inspire, educate, transform and empower the Latino community across the US.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Early on in my real estate career, our company assisted 10's of thousands of first-time home buyers realized their American Dream, owning a home. We assisted the largest number EVER of first-time buyers to achieve that dream!!
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Not coming from educated parents and/or having a formal education early on was difficult to navigate the business world without having a mentor or some trusted person to go to for advice. My parents had no business background, and I could depend on their advice.
