Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Pere Rosales, Founder, and CEO of INUSUAL, located in Barcelona, Catalunya, Spain.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

At Inusual, we believe that the best organizations are those that take advantage of the change to help their employees grow and find success and fulfillment in their professional lives. We know that only good leaders are able to use change to create the best version of their teams. That's why we believe that good leaders are unusual. Our mission is to facilitate the development of innovative leadership in organizations so that they are able to leverage change to create a positive impact on everything they set out to do. We usually say that we prepare individuals, teams, and organizations that everyone wants to work with.

Tell us about yourself

My purpose is to prepare people and organizations from the inside out to be more innovative. I work to humanize organizations by turning reactive people into innovative leaders who impact positive change in their environment. Many years ago, I was invited to teach applied creativity at a university in Barcelona, and I discovered my passion for accompanying people in their growth. I have continued to cultivate this passion for sharing it with students in an interactive way and have worked with people in their development. During our more than two decades of work, we have developed a coaching methodology that works and is more than just words and empty promises. We have launched the first Certified Program in Innovative Leadership in the market. We like to call our participants "Inusuals." They are intrapreneurs, entrepreneurs, and innovative leaders who want to reach their full potential and that of their teams.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I have the privilege of working daily on what I am passionate about. I have created a club of innovative leaders (inusual.club) around a common purpose to humanize organizations through leadership and to create trusting work environments where people can find meaning, purpose, and fulfillment in their lives. I accompany people, teams, and organizations in their development, and I am grateful for this.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Enjoy the journey and focus on what really matters, trusting that resources will not be lacking and that clients will continue to trust us and prove it by leaving their future projects in our hands.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Do what you love, and make sure that what you do is really what you want to do in life; you only have one, and it's a shame to waste your time doing something that doesn't fulfill you.
  2. Love what you do, work to achieve excellence in what you deliver to others, cultivate your own growth, don't settle, and always look for new ways to grow.
  3. Share the best, do not share what you have too much or what you do not value so much, but what you really believe is good for you. It will probably be good for others too, and that will pay off in time.
