Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Elisabeth Galperin, Founder of Peak Productivity, located in Cincinnati, OH, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I provide business productivity coaching to highly-driven business owners and leaders. I help my clients create lasting, life-changing results by gaining greater control of their time and reaching their potential. I serve as a coach, consultant, and accountability partner to help clients improve their professional and personal productivity levels.

Tell us about yourself

I started my business 15 years ago when I was feeling very discouraged in my work in healthcare as a speech-language therapist. I discovered business coaching & productivity consulting and never looked back! I feel motivated each day because I am doing what I love, with clients I admire, and continuing to be an educator - just in a different way than in my first career!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment? The collective impact I've had on so many clients' lives and businesses, helping them reach their goals and pursue their dreams. Their wins feel like my wins!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The risks you have to take along the way there have been many decisions along the way where I certainly had no guarantee of a return on my investment of time, money, and energy. I had to simply continue believing in myself and my determination to make things work!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Talk to other business owners who are further along in their journey
you can learn so much from others' experiences and shorten your own learning curve.
  2. Read the book "The E-Myth Revisited" by Micheal Gerber. This business book provides timeless insight into what it really takes to be an entrepreneur and build a sustainable business.
  3. Find or create a community with other entrepreneurs who can provide help, advice, support, and accountability whenever you need it
entrepreneurship can be lonely, but it doesn't have to be!
