Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Andrew Pacholyk, Founder of Peacefulmind, located in New York, NY, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is I am in the business of empowering others to be their best selves.

Tell us about yourself

I am an acupuncturist and Inspirational author. My first career was as a dancer. I danced professionally for 25 years until I had an accident. Experiencing the pain of that transition led me to a career as an acupuncturist. Perhaps it was to help heal me at first, but I eventually turned that into a successful practice. Running parallel to this was a website I designed to sell products my patients were looking for to assist in their own mind-body-spirit journey.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Becoming a successful author, transforming my website material and articles into two successful books and 25 International best-selling accredited home study courses on everything from crystal therapy to color therapy and aromatherapy to guided imagery.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Being heard and being seen. I now offer a drop-ship business where I teach others how to run a successful online business.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Passion: It should be the reason you get up in the morning and what you think about as you sleep. Your passion, whatever it is, should be the desire that fuels your life.
  2. Persistence: It's essential to remain persistent in your passion and pursuits. You will be knocked down over and over. You will face obstacle after obstacle. It is your job to navigate around these roadblocks and find another path. Don't take "no" or "it can't be done" as an answer. If there is a will, there is a way.
  3. Resilience: If you get knocked down, stand up. If you get beat up, make a comeback. If you need to take a breath, it's OK. But emerge, resilient!

Is there anything else you'd like to share?
