What's your business, and who are your customers?
I create handmade silver jewelry with intention and offer beautiful crystals! I love learning about the stones I am creating my jewelry pieces with, which lead me to study crystals and their healing capabilities. My customers appreciate hand-crafted items and are often crystal lovers!
Tell us about yourself
During 2020, I spent as much time as I could creating jewelry and connecting with my customers through Instagram. Working with my hands in this way was a valuable outlet, and I quickly found a community that appreciated beautiful jewelry and the benefits offered by the stones I was using! I enjoy being able to offer a product that can be used consciously and brings joy.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
As we came into 2023, I wanted to see my business grow in my local community after only being present on social media for so long. I have started working in person markets, and seeing face-to-face with my customers brings me so much happiness. This feels like a big win!
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Trying new things is always scary. But remember that time you thought you couldn't, and you did?! I think the most rewarding part of being a business owner is doing something scary, even with doubt, and finding that you are on the right path.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do it messy. It doesn't have to be perfect. Just start!
- Trust the process. There will be times that don't feel like wins. This is just an opportunity to try something new. You are on the right path!
- Allow time for rest. It's great to have an outlet that isn't related to your business! Giving yourself time to feel rested allows you to serve your community in the best way.
