What's your business, and who are your customers?
I'm a PCOS Nutrition Expert, and I established the PCOS Nutrition Center™. For over 20 years, it has been the trusted expert in supplements and nutrition information for PCOS. The PCOS Nutrition Center™ helps people with PCOS make positive, long-term changes to their eating, health, and fertility.
Tell us about yourself
The day I got diagnosed with PCOS was the day I changed my career to helping women with PCOS. It is a joy to do what you love, and I do love helping women understand PCOS and reclaim their lives from it, whether that means becoming a parent or lowering their risk for diseases and feeling better.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My greatest achievement has been helping thousands of women reclaim their lives from PCOS. I have done this through many outlets, including one-on-one counseling, my bestselling book, The PCOS Workbook: Your Guide to Complete Physical and Emotional Health, and the PCOS Nutrition Center website.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Having all the responsibility and decisions to make yourself.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Trust your gut instincts.
- Always bet on yourself.
- Don't be afraid to spend money to make money.
