What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a personal travel concierge. I work with guests traveling to Willamette Valley for food and wine tours.
Tell us about yourself
I love how food and wine bring people around a table to talk and share stories. This is a human nature thing. We strive to feel connected to others, and there is no other way to do it better than by sitting together at a table. It is all about building connections with others. I have been working in Oregon wine for over 10 years and wanted to share all of what this area offers. I want to show my guests that places that bring out the local personality are harder to find and are still great. I want to leave them with the last memories.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Surviving in a hospitality and tourism industry through COVID, when very few people were traveling.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The time and energy I have to put into everything to show everyone a great time. It’s my business and only as strong as you, the owner.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Figure out how to start it without destroying your future from a financial point of view to prove the concept works. Then go all it.
