What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are inventors and licensors of patents. Our customers are any person that has a patent and wants it to be monetized. Many of the patents that we licensed were invented by me. I currently have approximately 150 issued patents and many more pending.
Tell us about yourself
I have been an inventor all of my life. My first patent was filed when I was 17 years old and issued shortly thereafter. I have monetized my inventions by selling them to companies such as Apple and Intellectual Ventures, and also spun off my inventions into Nasdaq traded companies. I am motivated each day to learn more and to enjoy life.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Seeing my patents become part of commerce and helping others in the same way.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Managing other people and trying to achieve a good work-life balance.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Be prepared for a wild ride. Never quit. If you believe it can be done, it will be done. Believe in yourself!
