What's your business, and who are your customers?

I've run a Private Guitar Instruction Studio for close to 20 years. I've taught students from age 12 to mid-'60s. I've recently released a 4 Book Guitar Instructional Series now out on Amazon.

Tell us about yourself

I left the Corporate Grind in 2003-04. I started teaching part-time at my studio and at a local Music Conservatory; within two months, I had enough students to leave my Corporate Career and go full-time. Within another two months, I let the Director of the Music Conservatory that I'd need to leave and dedicate all my time to my private studio. You see, I was at 50 Students within four months. The Director said he had never seen anything like it before. He asked if I could help him for another two months while he found a replacement. I said sure... After those two months, I was over 70 students at my private studio. He said he wished me well and actually said he wanted one of his students to move to my studio - since they had asked him if he was okay with that. I asked if he was okay with that. You see, I replaced a Guitar teacher that stole a whole group of guitar students from his Conservatory. I had been upfront with him from the beginning, and he knew that I was also building my studio while still helping him build him as well. Honesty always brings rewards.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
