What's your business, and who are your customers?
Our business offers natural oral care products serving consumers who are more mindful about natural and organic products in their lives to help with a more active, healthy lifestyle for their family.
Tell us about yourself
After spending several years as an executive in corporate America, my epiphany was being shocked in a grocery aisle by a well-known brand of children's toothpaste - it had a warning label advising the consumer to take immediate medical action if the product was swallowed, including the phone number for poison control. That began the pursuit of researching the market and learning about all the harmful ingredients in most of the brands we use every day. I felt that there had to be a better way and provide more choices by introducing products that are much better for you. I am excited to bring ORL as a real choice every day to consumers looking for cleaner, healthier, and poison-free products.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Working collaboratively with a great team and bringing our vision to life. Getting first-hand feedback in the marketplace by engaging with our customers every day further reinforces how we are helping people improve their life and health.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Dealing with unexpected challenges that will come up, sometimes things do not happen as fast as you would like.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Find your passion.
- Start with the desired consumer experience outcome first.
- Gain feedback and spend time reflecting on what the customer says that can be improved.
