What's your business, and who are your customers?
We focus on helping funder organizations match with the best partners for the impact that they want to achieve in the world. Foundations, businesses with corporate social responsibility programs, and government funding agencies are who we work with intimately to help source the best partners for their objectives. Fund-seeking organizations can trust that our approach means we won't make them jump through unnecessary hoops because we do the upfront work with our partners to provide due diligence and trust-based partnerships.
Tell us about yourself
I've been working in the philanthropic space, specializing in B2B partnerships, for the last 13 years. Last year I made the leap to launch Orgmatch because of the partnership discovery problem I heard about from funders that needed support and focus for their impact. I wake up each day motivated to help our partners achieve their goals, making the world a better place in the process.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Building an amazing, diverse team of leaders dedicated to making the world better through partnerships. It's been amazing to work with our team to grow the business together, I take a lot of pride in that.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Keeping focused on what matters and letting go of what doesn't move the needle for our business.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Just do it!
- Enjoy the journey and let it lead you where it may, scrap preconceived notions of the outcome, and be open to what happens.
- Find a great business partner (or partners!) that complements your skills, holds you accountable, and shares your passion.
