What's your business, and who are your customers?
Organisologie is a French business that helps coaches, entrepreneurs, and freelancers to be more productive and calm in a distracting world. How does it work? Through books, concrete programs (interactive online courses), and an active community.
Tell us about yourself
What pushed me to start was to see all these employees who are completely overloaded and cannot cope with the information overload caused by digital tools. My main motivation is simply to help my readers and clients not to be a burden to society and, secondly, to develop skills to be effective and efficient.
I like to provoke my readers by asking them, "why do you want to be productive?" In my opinion, productivity in itself is meaningless. It must serve a greater cause which is rarely the commonly accepted and very unquestioned success.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I was lucky enough to be published several times by publishing houses. Apart from that, I think a great achievement is the ability to continually enjoy creating content without copying my competitors.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
When you think you have understood something, you realise that it cannot be duplicated. Everything moves; everything is impermanent.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Protecting what money can't buy.
- Create and play with limits (e.g., how can I do my current job in 4 hours a day?)
- Spend more time thinking without a screen.
