What's your business, and who are your customers?

MORNINGS is a holistic herbal and mushroom extract brand. MORNINGS was created to provide harmony and grounding from environmental and physiological stresses through herbal and mushroom remedies. MORNINGS products are designed to be conveniently integrated into one's routine to support the mind and body. MORNINGS believes in the importance of creating healthy, daily rituals and having fun while doing so. MORNINGS customers are health-conscious and thrive on cultivating personal rituals to up-level their day-to-day life.

Tell us about yourself

I am a mother, partner, daughter, and friend. I have a bachelor's degree in Communications and worked in PR for a number of years. After being extremely unhappy in my 9-5 job, I began thinking about ways I could branch out on my own. I started to look at my life and what I use/consume to try and make a connection on how I can create my own career. As someone who strives to live a healthy lifestyle, I looked at my daily routine. I realized the products I was using weren't overly convenient to consume, especially adaptogens. I am personally motivated by creativity and independence. My customers motivate me by hearing their stories about how MORNINGS products have positively impacted their lives.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is the positive stories and reviews I have received both directly from my customers and from the press.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things for me with being a business owner is my own accountability to show up for myself and MORNINGS. I run MORNINGS essentially 100% on my own, so I really have to be accountable for the time and energy I put into my business.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Find a mentor or someone you can bounce ideas off of on a regular basis, build a community and stay true to yourself and your integrity.
