What's your business, and who are your customers?
Optimal Beauty beautifies women globally through product recommendations and education. Women learn how to properly take care of their skin and professional tips on how to apply makeup so that they can show up in the world looking and feeling their best.
Tell us about yourself
I have been in the beauty industry for over 30 years. I started when I was just a little girl. Makeup and skincare never feel like work to me, it’s just a part of who I am.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is taking the leap to actually become a business owner. For so long, I did makeup as a hobby and then on the side. Never did I imagine makeup and skincare would be my full-time career.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The uncertainty, for sure. It’s scary not knowing what’s next. Owning a business definitely requires a tremendous amount of faith.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Be strong, be confident (remember you can do it!), and NEVER give up.
