What's your business, and who are your customers?
Olivia's Healing Herbs is an all-natural, vegan herbal supplement company that creates unique herbal formulas to address a wide variety of ailments and diseases and detoxify and support the body's natural ability to heal itself. Our powerful and effective organic herbal supplement formulas range from the Full Body Detox & Purifier for detoxifying and cleansing the body to No Pressure for safely lowering blood pressure naturally. Olivia's Healing Herbs' customers are very diverse and vary in all ages, from children to seniors alike. I am blessed to be able to serve my customers both locally, here in the U.S., and internationally.
Tell us about yourself
I started Olivia's Healing Herbs because I saw that people were in pain and needed to be healed. I could relate to them because long ago, I also was in pain and needed to be healed. Diagnosed with degenerative bone disease and just about every kind of arthritis, I was ready to try just about anything to get better and make the pain go away both before and after my hip surgery. Unfortunately, the pain medications that I was prescribed only proved to make me tired and drowsy but did little to nothing for my pain or the severe limp that I had.
Thankfully, I was first introduced to herbs and the work of the late Dr. Sebi, and I've never looked back. Herbs have been used for years with great results in improving the overall quality of those who take them. Herbs have transformed me inside and out and can improve your mind, body, soul, spirit, and overall condition, too!
What truly motivates me are the countless testimonies that I receive via telephone calls and emails throughout the week. Excited customers who have lost weight, balanced their blood pressure levels with my No Pressure formula, or about how much more focused and attentive their children have become from using the Focus formula for the brain and central nervous system. Hearing these kinds of testimonies is the real reward.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner lies in the fact that I am able to help so many people. It feels great knowing that I had a helping hand in glorifying Jesus through the natural herbs that our Creator makes for our natural bodies, as well as aiding people on their healing journey.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest thing about being a business owner lies in time management. I'm always looking to perfect or create new organic herbal formulas. To produce a quality product, I must allot the time necessary for research, testing, production, and quality control. Equally important is the ability to balance time between my business and personal life as a mother.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- TAKE YOUR TIME. It's okay to start things slow in the beginning. When I first opened Olivia's Healing Herbs store online, I only had six products for detoxifying cancer and lowering blood pressure, cramps, arthritis, and pain. I had heard about business owners that had financially overextended themselves or had gone into debt just to open or meet production costs. Instead, I only produced what was economically reasonable, thus establishing a more solid foundation, customer trust, and the ability to grow over time without strain.
- ASK QUESTIONS. Don't be afraid to ask questions or seek mentorship from another successful business owner. Asking the right questions can save you from making mistakes and give you wisdom.
- DO WHAT YOU LOVE. In a world filled with people working jobs they're not happy with, it is important to choose something that you are truly interested in, and that makes you happy. Doing so can be the key to having a great job and also contributes to business longevity.
