What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a freelance mentor that helps women freelancers hit their $10k months.

Tell us about yourself

I started my business in 2015 after getting demoted because of having a baby. I took that fire and the knowledge I had from school, work experience, and courses and built my business at night. I fully launched 2 weeks later and quit my full-time job the following week. I am on a mission to help women be empowered to find other ways to provide for their families then go to a 9-5 job. I want to give them the freedom to be a stay-at-home moms, a digital nomad, or a business boss. We deserve to live bigger dreams.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Helping over 150+ businesses streamline and uplevel their businesses. Collaborating with massive brands like Dr. Pepper.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Balance. Learning to balance home life, personal life, and business life is HARD.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be super clear on what you are passionate about. The passion has to come first; the money will come second.
  2. Be true to you. People in the space want to know who YOU are. They choose to work with you, so lean in and show them your crazy out of controlness.
  3. Find time to make your business a priority along with your clients. It's easy to push yours to the back burner, but it will almost always cause you issues.
