Tell us about yourself
I have been teaching in Edmonton for almost 20 years. I am a passionate teacher who’s elated to have my own space to offer my unique style of yoga to the Edmonton community.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Octo Yoga’s biggest accomplishment is opening its doors in the middle of the hard economic times because of the global pandemic.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
As a business owner, I find the hardest part is personal balance and not running myself too thin.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Have a vision, a goal.
- Stay focused on that goal.
- Visualize yourself constantly moving toward that goal until you’re there, so don’t give up.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Slow down when it comes to the moments you have with your clients, don’t rush to the next person, be present and available to them. They are the foundation of your business; give them the care and attention they deserve. And gratitude, be grateful constantly for all that surrounds you.
