What's your business, and who are your customers?
NU Media is a full-service digital marketing & PR agency. We specialize in serving clients in the following industries: hospitality, beauty, professional services, and e-commerce.
Tell us about yourself
I am currently serving as the CEO & Managing Partner of NU Media. I started working on this business while I was in college. Growing up as a bi-cultural individual, I began to discover opportunities to work with new immigrant business owners. I then decided to become their voice and spread their culture through marketing. And as time went on, my team and I started to build a strong reputation in the market. Today, we are proudly serving over 400 businesses all over the States.
What motivates me to do what I do every day is to always remind myself that I am creating a platform where young talents can come and discover their potential. Aside from helping clients, I am also driven by supporting young, female, and minority professionals.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment so far as a business owner is my team. And also our reputation.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
As we expand, I start to realize that it's very difficult to get to know every single person that joins the team.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Know your purpose. Why you do what you do.
- Be consistent. Don't always expect things to go your way, and when things don't go your way, know it's ok.
- Reflection. Being self-aware is very important, especially when you are the boss.
