What's your business, and who are your customers?
NovimedGroup is a medical linguistic service provider. We mainly provide specialized services to pharmaceutical companies, healthcare organizations, CROs, medical device companies, and private medical language service customers.
Tell us about yourself
I am a medical doctor and linguistic expert. I started my journey as a medical translator and linguistic researcher while in and after graduating from medical school. I had the privilege to be on both sides of this industry. Therefore, I could deeply understand the medical linguistic industry's needs and challenges. I became very passionate about the field, which led me to dedicate my whole time to this, leaving clinical practice.
My primary motive is creation and problem-solving. I love the numerous challenges, broad knowledge, and fast growth of this industry, which makes my daily routine rich, educating, and highly flexible. I am happy to have the privilege to practice a job that reflects my personality and meets my intellectual needs and anticipations.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
NovimedGroup built the world's first linguistic validation platform, Valitracks. Because of our extensive work experience in linguistic validation, we sensed the need for innovation and digitalization of the complicated linguistic validation process. The team and I took a couple of years to study various options, technologies, and solutions to accelerate and improve this process with a customized digital platform.
Eventually, we built Valitracks and launched it as a beta version, supporting our activities by Q4 2021. Currently, we have started to offer the platform to different industry players, and we further develop its capabilities, applications, and user experience.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The need for constant innovation and multi-field knowledge. You need to learn and study all the time, be critical of yourself, your work, and your team, as well as supportive and encouraging. It's a tight balance that needs to be met, creating a challenging business dynamic, however attractive.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do it only if you love what you do.
- Always look at how you add value to your industry and work.
