What's your business, and who are your customers?
Nova Aura is a healing space that offers massage, cupping, manual lymph drainage, and reiki. Each session, I will intuitively see what your body needs. Sometimes I might feel that you will need cupping or reiki. Or I might use some crystals to help with your healing process. My customers are 9-5 millennials and other service providers such as estheticians, hair stylists, and other massage therapists. That’s why I have my hours late and weekends open.
Tell us about yourself
I’ve always had back issues (scoliosis), so I’ve had a lot of massages and chiropractic care. It made me fall in love with massage and help others like me. Now I’ve been doing massage for over 12 years and love it so much. It’s wonderful to hold space for others and help them through emotional or physical pain.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is just even opening up my own business and going on my own. Especially during a pandemic!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest part, I would say, is keeping up with everything. And remembering everything is up to you to get done. Whether it be a social media post, setting goals, or getting your taxes done.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Remember, it’s ok if nothing is perfect right away. Keep trying!
- You’re always learning every day.
- Also, just do it! It will be the best decision you ever make. Even though it is scary!
