What's your business, and who are your customers?
Nona Street Bistro by Chef Andres Fuertes, is the fastest growing catering, personal chef, and food truck company in Central Florida. Our biggest client is the Boston Red Sox baseball team and Lake Nona Social.
Tell us about yourself
I went to Le Cordon Bleu and Johnson & Wales to study Culinary and Hospitality. Right after this, my career skyrocketed faster than I could've imagined.
Working as Head Chef at top Country Clubs and Hotels in Central Florida to now owning my own business where I can actually be my own boss and find myself true to my passion which is cooking my heart and watching my clients enjoy it. It's the greatest satisfaction anyone can have.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Being able to create a passionate culinary team and cater to a big organization like the Boston Red Sox.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest thing as a business owner is creating a balance between work and family time, especially when I'm a workaholic.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Invest in yourself to develop new skills or polish old/current ones. Knowledge is power!
- Invest in your business and do things right from the beginning, even if it will take you a little bit more, but trust me, it will be worth it.
- Creating a discipline will help you reach or exceed your goals.

Always be confident in what you're doing. Do your research and learn new things. Be a leader in your organization and in your community. You'll find everything we'll follow through.
