What's your business, and who are your customers?
Nishtreasureboxx is an affordable wig shop that makes custom wigs. My customers are mostly women that use the units for personal use. Some are wholesalers as well.
Tell us about yourself
I started my business three years ago. I was a tire and lube worker at Hertz. I knew nothing about getting a job, and I just knew I wanted more for myself, so I started working harder. Reading about hair and doing a lot of research before I started my business. I spent over $3000 just testing hair. It has been difficult, especially during COVID, but the key thing in business is to keep promoting and keeping busy.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
It's when a client comes back for more, and I take pride in anything I sell because it's my business name on it.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Staying consistent. I've taught a lot of classes to show women how to start their businesses, and that is what a lot of women struggle with, staying consistent.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Stop thinking about it and make it happen because you never know how far you will get with your business.
- Promote yourself.
