Tell us about yourself
I started making my own all-natural, personal care products in 2017 in response to sensitivities I developed using commercial, store-bought products. I immediately noticed a significant improvement in my overall health. Friends and family liked the products too and encouraged me to consider selling the products commercially. nirāmaya's mission is to serve as custodians of nature's gifts to inspire, co-create, and raise awareness of all-natural products. nirāmaya envisions everyone, everywhere, aligning with our mission and using nature's gifts to heal themselves, heal others, and heal humanity.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is knowing that I am following my heart, being true to myself, and offering other people the same healing alternatives I have benefited so much from!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
As a products company, the biggest challenge is maintaining supply chains and relationships with suppliers.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Know who you are. Let your product and/or service be an extension of you.
- While there are some fundamental business principles to follow, know there is no one way to start, grow and maintain a business. Find what works for you. Be patient. Be persistent. Be brave. Believe in yourself!
- When it comes to supply chains and suppliers, always have a backup.
