What's your business, and who are your customers?
I teach copywriters how to write winning copy and land, high-paying clients. I also teach biz op customers how to get started with email copywriting, and my initial program shows them how to write emails for online businesses and make $2K-$5K per month from home with zero experience.
Tell us about yourself
I started out as a copywriter in 2016 while I was in graduate school at Colorado State University, studying the muscle cells of elephant seals. I realized that that was not the career path I wanted, so I typed "how to make money online" into Google. I spent the next two years obsessively learning about copywriting and was picked up by one of the top agencies in direct response, headed by Aaron Winter and Dan Ferrari. After writing for Agora Financial and Organifi, I was recruited by PaleoHacks, an 8-figure cookbook company. There, I worked for 3.5 years, wrote and managed nearly 17 different funnels, and tripled their bottom line revenue. In May 2022, I struck out on my own to coach copywriters on how to do the same. I am passionate about teaching and giving the gift of copywriting to others. Copywriting has given me so much in my life, and I'm passionate about sharing those gifts with others.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I have two students who went from zero to making $30K/month in under a year.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Having boundaries, managing operations, and having a healthy relationship with employees.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Master marketing first.
