What's your business, and who are your customers?
My businesses are mindful companies—a blend of virtual and in-person yoga, meditation, and guided hiking. Any experience with me is an invitation to get to know yourself and the world around you on a deeper level. I offer both in-person and virtual options for the workplace, gym, or home! My customers are anyone interested in that experience!
Tell us about yourself
I grew up as an athlete and performer. To balance that, I got into meditation and mindfulness at a young age. Those practices gave me the tools I needed to combat stress and anxiety and gave me a clear sight of who I am and what I'm capable of. I strive to create spaces and experiences where others can do the same!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I became a Lululemon yoga ambassador in 2019 and was named one of the top virtual options in Minneapolis in 2020!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Keeping myself on a regular schedule, staying motivated, and not burning out! Learning the balance of when to turn work off. When you work for yourself, that is tricky!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Be detail-oriented. Break your annual plan down week by week to make real, tangible, bite-sized goals.
- Don't take anything personally! Keep your head down and focus on progress.
- Take breaks!
