Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Nia Brown, Owner of Socks on The Block, located in Belton, MO, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is Socks On The Block. We welcome any and everyone who’s looking for cool socks.

Tell us about yourself

I’ve had a love for fun socks for as long as I can remember. I even have an extremely large personal collection of socks today. The sock section is the first place I go in any store. I got the idea to start my own business when it became harder to find fun socks that I didn’t already own. Something that motivates me daily is making sure I have something to offer everyone.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner was opening my first storefront after a year in business.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things that come with being a business owner, in my opinion, is finding a way to stay original and unique in a (most likely) saturated field.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

My top 3 tips would be to research it, do it, and enjoy it.

Where can people find you and your business?
