Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal care but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Kapil Kalra, Co-Founder of naturemary, located in Calgary, AB, Canada.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are a biology-based body care company with a range of cosmeceuticals and wellness products. Our core customers are those who choose a natural lifestyle and want care products to match.

Tell us about yourself

I've always had an entrepreneurial mindset and, from a very young age, always had some sort of business enterprise running. What motivates me is accomplishing the small daily and weekly goals, which eventually lead to the larger goals. Loving what you do also helps!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Scaling our brand to multinational status has been a huge win for us, along with continuing to spread the benefits of naturemary to those who need it. We are also very proud of our team. Having like-minded, vibe and energy-matching people around helps propel the company.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Managing people and their energy can be a challenge. Constant energy flow within the working walls is the most important thing.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Solve a problem.
  2. Celebrate the small wins.
  3. Stay the course - always push forward.
