What's your business, and who are your customers?
I run a boutique fitness studio for busy women who want to lose weight, get fit, and feel confident with a community of like-minded ladies!
Tell us about yourself
As a kid, I always loved being active and fit. I loved the feeling of pushing my body. Twenty years ago, my mom and I decided to run a business together and bought a women-only fitness franchise. Six years later, we sold it, and I opened my own fitness business that I am still running today. I love helping women improve their health and fitness and feel like they are living their best life!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is having many clients that have stuck with me for the entire duration of my fitness career - 20 years!!!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Not throwing in the towel when you start to feel like things are failing. It's hard to stay positive and motivated when it all comes down to you.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- When you start to feel defeated, change your mindset to see the failures as opportunities for change and innovation.
- Care deeply about your clients. Serving them is what matters most.
- Give more than expected. Be the one who gives more value to your clients than your competition.
