What's your business, and who are your customers?

We own a dairy farm and produce our locally-made artisan cheese.

Tell us about yourself

I have been part of our dairy farm since I was born. I am proud to be a woman in agriculture and to bring the community together. I genuinely love education and creating a space for the public to come and learn about our dairy. I am motivated to support locals and bring back the farm-to-table experience.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Opening our farm store. The Nash family creamery has been open for two years now, and we have been able to bring agritourism to middle TN.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Unpredictability. The pricing for farmers will always be different, and that comes with challenges as we continue to milk cows.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be passionate.
  2. Be humble.
  3. Be financially independent as much as you can. Protect what you have built.
