What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a master integrative life coach and international best-selling author. I coach clients one on one and also in small groups on zoom, as well as I have evergreen courses online. My customers are one-on-one clients who recognize they are not living the life they aspire to live. They are stuck and don't know how to move forward. I help them uncover the shadow beliefs in their subconscious; they keep them playing small. I also do couples therapeutic coaching which can be romantic couples as well as parent and child.
Tell us about yourself
I owned a personal training gym for 16 years before I became a coach. So living a holistic lifestyle has always been important to me. I was happily married for 26 years and raised two sons. When my marriage fell apart, so did I. It took me many years of personal inner work to become the woman I am today. I walk my talk and help all of my clients step beyond their comfort zone so they can live their best lives. I use fear as a motivating force for change and teach these skills to my clients.
I have a growth mindset, and adding certifications is a way of continuing to grow in my craft and serve my clients to the best of my ability. I coach in setting healthy boundaries, reinvention, healing your heart, shadow beliefs, parenting, marriage and relationships, and being bigger, better braver, just to name a few.
Helping others motivates me. Being outside and exercising in nature every day of the year is how I stay balanced between work and play. Having boundaries and knowing how to make myself a priority has changed my life.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Writing my book, making the audio version, and having it become an international bestseller is my biggest accomplishment. Bigger, Better Braver: Conquer your Fears, Embrace your Courage, and Transform your Life. Being asked by "GenConnectU" (A Bigger, Better, Braver Career: Strategies that Keep You from Playing Small )to build a course on their platform was also a huge compliment and accomplishment.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Coaching is just half of the job. All of the necessary social media is a huge time commitment, but I believe giving away tools and insights is an important part of my work.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do your due diligence. Don't just jump in without a safety net.
- Find out who can help you, not just how you can do it yourself.
- Have compassion for yourself and understand it's a marathon and not a sprint. Small baby steps, one step at a time, are the way to success. Failure is just a stepping stone to success. Don't use them to beat yourself up; use them to improve and move forward.
