Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal care & cosmetics, but not sure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Eliza Sipin, owner of  The Nail and Champagne Bar, catering the Greater Toronto Area and beyond.

Tell us all about your business...

We are a mobile beauty company specializing in on-site nail services and champagne tastings. We provide one-on-one services and up to large events providing nail bar activations and an add-on option of a champagne tasting by our Sommelier.

Our clients are new Moms, bridal parties, entrepreneurs, businesses, and everyone in between! We pamper everyone who would appreciate an at-home nail service in the comfort of their home. As well as businesses who would like to add a unique experience to their event.

What's your background and motivation to grow as a solopreneur?

I’ve worked with multiple small businesses & start-up companies. I then did freelance marketing & PR for several companies in beauty.

I have always wanted to create a company with my 2 passions, nails and champagne. It wasn't an easy idea to land on, but it fell into place and evolved over time. I genuinely appreciate and count my blessings to have a business that I enjoy, is unique, and provides individuals with an experience while promoting self-care.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

We have won 4 awards since 2019, and to know that our team has accomplished that with myself leading has been a significant accomplishment, especially during COVID-19.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

A lot of people really depend on you, and you have to come through for them.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Be sure you truly love what you're doing, be realistic with your expectations, and it's absolutely okay to ask for help.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

I simply wish everyone happiness through entrepreneurship, even if there are a plethora of bumps in the road.
